Mike Robertson - Vocals & Bass
Mike Robertson lays down the solid bass lines that makes Exit 54's songs rock. With a Jekyll and Hyde persona, he manages the band professionally during the day and then transforms into a howling maniac under the music at night.
Hailing from Virginia, he has played bass and guitar in venues ranging from clubs to festivals, churches, plays and dinner theaters all along the southeastern corridor. Mike's early introduction to music was on the trombone. Since his transition to strings, he pulls from the influences of John Fogerty, Victor Wooten, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Widespread Panic to create his own unique bass and guitar style. His decades of musical experience include blues, classic rock, country, big band and contemporary Christian.
Mike finds his refuge in music and sound recording. His favorite axe is a Spector 5 string bass powered by a Hartke 3500 head and two 4 X 10 cabinets which combine to create the powerful tones of his rhythmic bass lines for Exit 54.
